The Design Doha Residency, celebrates the connectivity and intersections of contemporary craft practices and innovative design among International and Qatari makers. This exchange will manifest during Design Doha through a research residency for the designers at Liwan, where the makers will host open studios, talks, hands-on workshops, and press viewings.

Open to all practitioners based in the MENA region, the Design Doha Prize aims to promote the talent and creativity of MENA designers by offering a monetary prize, mentorship, exposure, logistical support, and insurance support

The Design Doha forum's goal is to inspire attendees to envision cities as living canvases where design serves as a vehicle for communication, personal and community empowerment, economic growth, and meaningful cultural exchange.
